Should I choose steam, electric or gas heating for a commercial laundry?
It depends entirely on whether you already have a boiler. Steam heating is the cheapest to run at volume and is the norm in hotels and hospitals that already generate steam for kitchens or sterilisation. If there is no boiler, the boiler and steam line are a capital item far larger than the difference between an electric and a steam machine, so electric heating is usually the better answer below roughly 500 kg/day.
